With glasscarving, you accept to take the risk to destroy your whole work at the last etching. Glasscarving is for me the untold contract with yourself, to not etch twice the same pattern, to never reborn a broken piece ; what is the point of using a material without accepting its obligations.
The carved glass is not the final work, it is just one of its tools ; it is only in the shade of its shade. In fact, the shade is the only flexible one, stretching itself with the light, twisting itself for the shelf.

On the oder hand, I haven't got any respect for plastic.
